Let’s Activate!

Faith is a powerful force in the life of a Christian. It is the foundation of our relationship with God and the key to unlocking His blessings and promises for our lives. Someone may say, “well, how do we activate our faith in Jesus?” …I am glad you asked! In the Bible there are so many scriptures that helps us do just that.

First, believe in your heart: The Bible tells us in Romans 10:9, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” This means that faith starts in the heart. We need to believe in Jesus with all our heart, not just with our mind or words. When we truly believe in Jesus, our faith is activated.

Trust in the Lord: Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” When we trust in the Lord, we activate our faith in Him. We stop relying on our own understanding and start depending on Him for direction and guidance.

Speak life: Proverbs 18:21 says, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Our words have power, and when we speak life and faith, we activate our faith in Jesus. We need to speak words of faith and declare God’s promises over our lives, not words of doubt and fear.

Walk by faith: 2 Corinthians 5:7 says, “For we live by faith, not by sight.” Walking by faith means trusting in God’s promises and not relying on what we can see or understand. It means stepping out in faith and taking risks for God, even when it doesn’t make sense or seems impossible. When we walk by faith, we activate our faith in Jesus and see His power and provision in our lives.

Seek God’s wisdom: James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” When we seek God’s wisdom, we activate our faith in Him. We are now able to make wise decisions and live according to His will because He is in full control.

Activating your faith in Jesus is a powerful way to experience His love, grace, and blessings in your life. By believing in your heart, trusting in the Lord, speaking life, walking by faith, and seeking God’s wisdom, you can activate your faith and see God’s power at work in your life.
